My son previously worked as a forest firefighter. I was struck by the yin/yang of the firefighter's job. In the daytime, the fighters would be putting out and beating back the fire that was out of control. And at night, the fighters would have a campfire to warm up and calm down. I wanted to capture two of the sides of this hard, dangerous job.
