Primordial Beginnings

Inspired by the cracked mud at my feet, I was thinking about how life can start from the most humble, inhospitable beginnings, and has for a long, long time. Mother Nature is relentless about prevailing, even when existence seems impossible to us. The hand painted velvet is hand and machine embroidered with embellishments of beads.
