Contemplation

Contemplation was conceived when a friend was giving a demonstration on the removal of colour from fabric. The resulting cloth was so strikingly like Gothic church windows that I could see the whole piece completed in my mind’s eye. I love the use of cheesecloth to represent something as strong as lasting as stone, and the solemn path around the outside of the work represents the way I feel in a cathedral.
